Rod and Reel Information
for
TackleCollecting.com
This page is intended to redirect those who are searching for
information about rods and reels, as I'm not really into them myself.
REELS
90% of all reels are common as dirt. If you have the original box and it's in near
perfect shape, you can expect between $20 to $50 for the most common reels. Condition is
everything!
The most common old reels are Bronson, Horrock-Ibbotson, Johnson, Kalamazoo, Langley,
Ocean City, Penn, Pennell, Pflueger, Shakespeare, South Bend, and Zebco. There are a few
more valuable models with Pflueger, Shakespeare, and South Bend, but not many.
The ones that generally demand more are Abu-Garcia, Bristol, Heddon, Horton, Meek,
Meisselbach, Von Hofe, and Winchester, but not always. These usually start at $50 and go
up to a few thousand.
